In this series, first year students of Hogeschool Zuyd are offered a series of films from different parts of the world, followed by a reflection (in English) from a person who has a first hand experience of the country or culture. Of course, the film nights are also open for regular visitors.This time, we watch The Hills Of Wrath, a documentary about the winemakers of Domaine Georges Vernay, who produce top-quality organic wine on ‘the terraces of hell’: a place that seems completely unsuitable for viticulture. After the screening there will be a post-film discussion (language: English) with Robert de Koning, oenologist, and Tugberk Samur, Sustainability Lecturer at Hotelschool Maastricht. This event is organised in collaboration with Dutch Mountain Film Festival.
