Omar Babini graduated from the Luigi Perdisa Agricultural Technical Institute in 1998 and then earned a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Bologna in 2003. Following his graduation, Omar pursued a Master’s degree in Behavioral Medicine at the University of Pisa in 2004, with a thesis titled “Stress in Working Dogs.”
Since then, he worked in a veterinary clinic and later transitioned to freelance work in 2010, where he provides home veterinary services, behavioral consultations and does pet therapy with children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
In addition to his veterinary expertise, Omar has a vast background in dog training. He has participated in numerous seminars on dog aggression and agility workshops led by esteemed instructors from around the globe. He opened a dog training center in 2004, specializing in agility, puppy socialization, and basic education, while integrating principles of behavioral medicine along with preparing dogs for assisted therapy, especially with autistic children. He has been involved in training future dog trainers and instructors throughout Italy since 2014. He has conducted agility workshops not only in Italy but also in Switzerland, Spain, Slovenia, Brazil, and the United States, sharing his knowledge and expertise across international borders.
From 2018 to 2020, he served as the team leader for the Italian Agility National Team, showcasing his dogs at prestigious World Championships including the AWC (FCI Agility World Championship), EO (European Open), and WAO (World Agility Open) and was a contributor to the ENCI (Italian National Kennel Club) Technical Committee.
