Date 📅 for your Diary 💯The ever popular Glin Castle 🏰 Openday will this year take place on Sunday, 17th August 🙌.
E10 entry fee -cash only!
Pay at the entrance gate.
Gates will open ⏰ at 12 noon and last viewings of the ground floor of the castle and the castle gardens will be at 5pm.
It is always a fabulous day out, thoroughly enjoyed by all who visit. Whether you’re an avid gardener or just enjoy a stroll through beautifully maintained gardens and of course the famous walled garden, you will not be disappointed. You can stroll through yourself or follow along with a guided tour from one of the ever knowledgeable Glin Castle gardeners.
You will also have the chance to experience the rich history and the old world charm of the Fitzgerald family home, while having a guided tour of the ground floor rooms of the castle.
Glin Development are as always, very grateful to Madam Olda and Catherine Fitzgerald for allowing us to host the Openday.
All funds raised goes towards the maintenance and up keep of our beautiful village of Glin.
We would request that dogs 🐶 🐕 are not brought along on the day.

There will be refreshments available to purchase throughout the day. The ever popular Medieval Combat Reenactment will also be battling 🛡️⚔️ it out, so beware 😅!
We will have a raffle with excellent prizes, so make sure to get yourself a 🎟️ ticket!
We are looking forward to the Openday and hoping to see a big turnout. You will not find a more charming and relaxed space where history and nature are nurtured and celebrated 🪴 ⚔️.
The Glin Knights Visitor Centre is located on Lr. Main Street, Glin. Learn all about the history of this famous Fitzgerald family, and the Knights of Glin, through the audio and interactive displays. Free entry and open every day from 10am until 5. It will remain open until 7pm on the Openday.
