Glencoe Mills: The History of Plaid Manufacturing in Alamance County, North Carolina

Join Dr. Sam Powell, Founder and Board Member of the Textile Heritage Museum, as he presents the intriguing history of Glencoe Cotton Mills and its more than 70 years of plaid fabric manufacturing in Alamance County, North Carolina.
He will also share the history of more than 25 years of historic preservation and restoration of the Glencoe Mill Village and the beginnings of the Textile Heritage Museum, which opened in March 2004.
Refreshments will follow the presentation.
