Historically James Holt began the construction of the new Glencoe Cotton Mill community in 1880. By April 1882, the mill began its first production of plaid fabrics inside the mill.
On March 24, 2004, the Textile Heritage Museum opened its doors as a public museum.
We celebrate these great beginnings of our textile heritage of the past, present and future.
