Gleaner's Journey: A Hands-On Workshop
in Conjunction with Alice Momm's Exhibition Gleaner's Song for Glen Echo

Meet in the Popcorn Gallery
Meet exhibiting artist Alice Momm in her exhibition "Gleaner's Song for Glen Echo" for a brief introduction to her practice of art-making through walking, collecting, and revisiting these materials and impressions in her studio.
Following this brief introduction (and with a prompt-sheet in hand), participants will have time to meander the grounds of Glen Echo to collect their own observations and picked-up things. We will reconvene in a studio above the Popcorn Gallery to recreate the morning's wanderings by making an accordion fold book, the unfolding book it's own journey. Many methods can be used to make the book including collage, sewing, drawing, painting and writing.
This workshop is suitable for age 16 and up.
