Four Week Glass Fusing Course with Shirley EcclesTuesdays 29th April to 20th May
10am to 1pm
£220 for 4 weeks (or £60 single session) + £5 firing/piece as needed (payable to the tutor on the day).
These sessions are for adults (18+)
This course is suitable for both beginners and those who wish to develop their glass making skills further.
For this workshop we are going to look at different artists for inspiration.
Shirley is very excited about running this course and hope you will find it inspirational. You will be learning both about the artists and their work as well as how to interpret their style within your glass designs.
Demonstrations will be given and you will be guided on glass cutting techniques and how to set up your glass to create the different effects.
You will have the opportunity to experiment with clear, opaque and translucent sheet glass as well as a variety of accessory glass like frits, powders, stringers and more.
All tools and materials will be provided.
Many of the pieces will go through two firing processes and you will have a choice of moulds to select from for the 2nd Firing/slumping process.
Your pieces will be taken away for firing and returned the City Arts for collection
