Glass birds with Verity Pulford

Verity’s glass workshop will combine elements of glass painting and fusing, to enable you to create a number of beautiful garden birds. They will be taken away, fired, drilled and returned ready to collect from the centre. They can then be hung at your windows where they will catch the light or will make beautiful personal gifts. Images will be provided along with everything else you will need - but please feel free to bring in pictures of your favourite birds too.

Based in Eryrys, Verity is a glass artist whose work is inspired by small structures within nature such as fungi, lichen and algae. She uses a variety of techniques, which include fusing, casting and pate de verre, and her practice is rooted in exploration and experimentation. She has recently been awarded an Arts Council of Wales grant for her project Mutualism and she has also received a QEST scholarship.

Verity sells her work internationally and is a member of the Makers Guild Wales.

Byddant yn cael eu cludo i ffwrdd, eu tanio, eu drilio a'u dychwelyd yn barod i'w casglu o'r ganolfan. Yna gellir eu hongian wrth eich ffenestri lle byddant yn dal y golau neu'n gwneud anrhegion personol hardd. Darperir lluniau ynghyd â phopeth arall y bydd ei angen arnoch - ond mae croeso i chi ddod â lluniau o'ch hoff adar i mewn hefyd.

Wedi’i lleoli yn Eryrys, mae Verity yn artist gwydr y mae ei gwaith wedi’i ysbrydoli gan strwythurau bach o fewn byd natur fel ffyngau, cen ac algâu. Mae hi’n defnyddio amrywiaeth o dechnegau, sy’n cynnwys ffiwsio, castio a pate de verre, ac mae ei hymarfer wedi’i gwreiddio mewn archwilio ac arbrofi. Yn ddiweddar dyfarnwyd grant Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru iddi ar gyfer ei phrosiect Cydfuddiannol ac mae hefyd wedi derbyn ysgoloriaeth QEST.

Mae Verity yn gwerthu ei gwaith yn rhyngwladol ac yn aelod o Urdd Gwneuthurwyr Cymru.
