At Sunday Assembly we meet to hear inspiring talks, sing together, and to generally celebrate life. All are welcome and accepted!
Each Assembly has a theme. The aim is to have you energised, vitalised, restored, repaired, refresh and recharged. No matter the subject of the Assembly, it will solace worries, provoke kindness and inject a touch of transcendence into the everyday.
This month we will be hearing Joyce McMillan speak on the topic of 'Trust'. Society depends on trust both in public life and private. Trust is an essential element in a fulfilled life. How are we doing? And how could we do better?
Joyce McMillan is theatre critic of The Scotsman, and also writes a political and social commentary column for the paper. She has been involved in many campaigns for democracy and human rights, both in Scotland and internationally, and has been a freelance journalist, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, for more than 25 years. She was a Visiting Professor in the School of Drama and Creative Industries at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh from 2006 to 2010.
