About this Event
WELCOME TO THE GLASGOW GATHERING OF QUILTERS
The group was established in 2002 with the purposes of
- promoting appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the skill, art, technique and heritage of quilt making
- fostering a climate of friendship and cooperation amongst quiltmakers locally, nationally and internationally
- providing a social and educational forum for quiltmakers in and around the Glasgow area.
The Gathering is open to anyone who shares these purposes or wantt to find out more about quilting.
Our members come from Glasgow, Ayrshire, Argyllshire, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, and contribute greatly to our programme. With currently 60 registered members, our skills and experience vary from beginner to expert so there is lots to share within the group.
We regularly have national and international speakers, demonstrations, show and tell, members sewing days, occasional traders evenings and more.
