About this Event
As part of Glasgow’s Doors Open Day Festival 2024, we are offering free tours behind the scenes of Scotland’s Moving Image Archive.
Based in the iconic Kelvin Hall, this is a rare opportunity to see how technicians and curators work to preserve and digitise film and sound material from fragile formats. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions and guide you through the storage and care of this unique collection.
Tours will last approximately an hour, and run at
- 10:30am
- Noon
- 1:30pm
After your tour you can explore the Access Centre, where you can browse thousands of archival films, and explore our digital collections.
