Add a touch of winter magic to your pottery in this glamorous glaze workshop, where you’ll learn the “Frozen Pond” technique to create shimmering, icy finishes. Explore layering, texture, and color blending to capture the beauty of a frosty winter scene. Perfect for all levels, this class brings elegance and sparkle to your ceramic creations. You must bring 2-3 pieces of your choice (bowls, vessels, trays, etc.) that have already been bisque-fired and are ready to be glazed.
Participants should bring their own apron if desired and come prepared to get dirty.
Clay will be needed for this class, which can be purchased at the studio at the time of the event.
Instructor: Joann Kern
Instructor Bio: Joann has worked with clay and the wheel for 25+ years and has studied at the college level and with production potters. She is an active potter and instructor in functional and sculptural pottery, focusing on creating unique vessels and objects formed by the union of hand, heart, and nature's elements. Joann is the principal potter at Kittery Point Potters.
Open to ages 12+ (waiver needed for minors at time of attendance).
Class needs a minimum of 3 attendees to run.
Class available for up to 8 attendees.
Registration closes three (3) days before the event.
