GJA Invites Members to Attend 29th Media Awards at Manhyia Palace
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has opened applications for its members in Accra to attend the 29th GJA Media Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The event, which celebrates excellence in journalism, will have the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama — a full member of the Association in good standing — as the Special Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker.
Other dignitaries expected include the Speaker of Parliament, Right Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, and His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, Acting Chief Justice.
This year’s ceremony will be particularly historic, as it will be hosted by His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the revered Manhyia Palace.
The GJA Media Awards is the flagship event of the Association, held annually to honour journalists and media organizations for outstanding contributions to national development, democracy, and media freedom.
Members in Accra who wish to attend are expected to arrive in Kumasi on Friday, November 7, and depart on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Applications can be submitted online via the link https://forms.gle/1PbA3CaTFPiuJbLn6 before the deadline on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at midday.
