In response to the recent tree felling around The Glade and in the North Woods, and the felling of Ash trees more generally, we have created this day and evening event as an opportunity for people to come and connect with the woods, express and share their feelings and take part in a healing ceremony, for both the land and the community. The event is a collaboration between The Glade, Circlewise and Samara - a local shamanic practitioner. The event will take place on Friday 5th July at The Glade and will consist of two main parts, see schedule below.
Event Schedule
12pm – The Glade opens to the public to sit and gather together. There will be a Wishing Tree to place your messages to the forest and land, or to one another.
1pm - 4pm – Community Circle and Healing Ceremony with Samara and Circlewise (pre-booking required)
The event will involve a circle, held by Circlewise, followed by a shared healing ceremony held by Samara.
The circle will be a held space to reflect and share any stories that want to be told. A space for every voice to be heard and valued. Circles give us time to connect more deeply with our own truth and help us develop greater compassion and empathy for others. In our time together we will sit around the fire in the beautiful woodland glade and practice the art of deep listening.
The healing ceremony will involve a guided shamanic meditation and journey, focused on healing the relationship between humans and our other-than-human kin, promoting loving awareness of our unity, and sending healing throughout the web-of-life. We will end with gratitude’s and a song.
Simple cold refreshments will be provided during the day.
Open to all, however due to the nature of the circle and healing ceremony this may not suit very young children (please ask if unsure).

6.30pm - 9pm – Grief & Gratitude Circle with Circlewise and Jeremy Thres (pre-booking required)
Grief is a part of life. As well as joy there are losses, pain and wounding both to ourselves, others and beloved wider Earth body of which we are a part. In this Circle there will be space for expressions of feeling in relation to the Ash trees and the land, though not limited to it, for the sources of grief are varied and many feel strong at this time. This events is for adults only.
Simple cold refreshments and herbal tea will be provided.
