About this Event
Join us as we celebrate the Give Peas a Chance! pilot project – a bold and inspiring initiative that built a brand new supply chain for locally grown, organic dried split peas to be used in Aberdeen City Council school meals.
This event brings together the partners who made the pilot possible – Soil Association Scotland, Aberdeen City Council catering team, Royal Northern Countryside Initiative (RNCI) and Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET). Together, we’ll reflect on the journey, share stories from the pilot, and highlight the impact of embracing peas on the menu.
- Inspiring talks from project partners and participants
- Tasty pulse-based refreshments
- Education activities to learn more about how peas are grown
- Opportunities to connect with others passionate about good food and sustainable change
Let’s celebrate the progress we’ve made – and look ahead to what’s next for pulses in public sector food!
