Curious about pottery but not sure where to start? Our “Give It a Try” class at The Bunkhouse Studios is the perfect introduction to wheel throwing!
This fun, one-time session is designed to let you experience the basics of working with clay on the pottery wheel in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
During this 2-hour class, you’ll get a quick introduction to essential pottery techniques, including wedging (preparing the clay) and centering (getting it ready to shape on the wheel).
After a demonstration, it’s your turn to give it a try!
This class isn’t focused on creating a finished piece, so there’s no pressure to complete a form. Instead, it’s all about having fun, exploring the feel of the wheel, and getting a sense of what goes into throwing pottery.
