About this Event
Hey Girls! Come build a solar car and learn all about Solar Energy!
SOLV Energy is proud to partner with Girl Scouts San Diego to introduce their Solar Patch Lesson, one of five patches in their Climate Controller Patch Series, to promote STEM education for girls and young women. This program promotes sustainability through simple, educational activities and focuses on the Solar Energy and the power of the sun. You are an engineer building and testing the solar power potential of one of the world's smallest solar cars! The goal is to create an obstacle course with hills, bumps, and turns to test the limits of your car. Learn about career opportunities within the solar and renewable energy industry from SOLV Energy employees. Girl Scouts will earn the Solar Climate Controller Patch. This is a non-drop off event. For questions contact Kaitlyn Heironimus at [email protected] or (619) 610-0706.
This is NOT a Drop Off Event. This posting is reserved for girls who are not yet Girl Scouts.
