Our vision at The Valley Church is to do whatever it takes so that people experience spiritual victory, healing, the poor are helped, and the marginalized are seen. When this vision is put into action, guess what happens? --- Holes are punched in the darkness!Right now, there are a lot of people in our community struggling with food insecurity. We know that groceries are expensive and there are many without jobs or paychecks right now. Further, many people are using food pantries, and we want to make sure those places are fully stocked as we approach winter and the holidays.
At The Valley we say we don't just talk about Jesus or sing about Jesus, we do the things that Jesus told us to do --- and that is what we are going to do right now, starting with the first Sunday in November.
There are five Sundays in November and over those five Sundays we are asking everyone to bring one of four things:
1. One can of chicken
2. One box of pasta
3. One jar of spaghetti sauce
4. One can of parmesan cheese
Of course, you can bring two, three, or all four of these items.
We will be delivering them to places each week so that people in our community are fed.
