About this Event
Join us for an insightful Guest Lecture on using GitHub Copilot as a coding companion that supports your learning. The session will discuss how this AI-powered tool can support you in developing technical skills by suggesting coding options, helping troubleshoot your code and explaining source code written by others.
The lecture is delivered by Wilhelm Klopp, founder of Simple Poll and adviser at DX – a developer insights platform. Wilhelm, a UCL School of Management alumnus, founded UCL API while pursuing his degree and lead the UCL Tech Society. He worked as a software engineer at GitHub and has industry experience in adopting tools for generative AI in coding.
The lecture will showcase demonstrations in using GitHub Copilot as a second pair of eyes, enhancing your ability to understand, write, document and test code using Copilot as an assistant. Whether you are just starting or looking to refine your coding skills, this session will show you how to engage with GitHub Copilot to complement your learning, foster problem-solving skills, and prepare you for industry practices.
