Translation
All the Upanishads are like a cow, and the milker of the cow is Lord Shri Krishna, the son of Nanda. Arjuna is the calf, the beautiful nectar of the Gita is the milk, and the fortunate devotees of fine theistic intellect are the drinkers and enjoyers of that milk (Text 6, Bhagavad Gita Mahatmya).
Please join us for a special recitation (paraayana) commemorating Gita Jayanti ( day that the Bhagavad Gita was spoken). The Bhagavad Gita is one of the world's most revered sources of wisdom and insight into life's greatest questions and is also a handbook for how to navigate life with purpose and clarity. Our event is an opportunity to come together and recite the holy vibrations and offer prayers that we, our loved ones, and everyone around the globe may be touched by Divine light and wisdom.
The event's agenda includes recitation of entire 18 chapters of BhagavadGita, kirtan, Pushpanjali to Srimad Bhagavad Gita. A vegetarian dinner will be served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
If you have a copy of Bhagavad Gita, please bring along with you to the event. We have limited number of copies at the temple.
