About Giselle Anne:
Throughout her academic dance training, which included contemporary dance, ballet, and folklore for more than 10 years, Giselle Anne simultaneously pursued tango in a largely self-taught manner due to the limited availability of tango instructors in the 1980s. Nevertheless, she had the opportunity to learn from two of the most renowned "milongueros" of the time: Antonio Todaro and Pepito Avellaneda.
With nearly four decades of professional experience, Giselle Anne has showcased her talent as both a dancer and choreographer, performing and teaching worldwide.
Early in her career, Giselle Anne collaborated with prestigious artists, including Libertad Lamarque, Argentino Ledesma, Mariano Mores, José Collangelo, Los Solistas de D'Arienzo, Dragone, and Tripodi, among others. She toured extensively across Europe, America, and Asia, as well as performed in Buenos Aires' tango houses and theaters. Her notable shows include the famous "Tango Argentino" and "Tango Pasión”. Over those years, she danced with a wide range of partners and true milongueros, showcasing her versatility and deep connection to the tango tradition.
During her five-year residence in Spain (1992-97), Giselle Anne deepened her work in tango by founding a school, creating her own ballet productions, and inaugurating the "Casa del Tango" in Seville.
In 1995, she introduced her Tango Technique classes in Europe, developing a robust teaching method based on her years of experience.
Together with Gustavo Naveira, she co-created a comprehensive tango methodology focused on a deep analysis of tango movement and structure. This method has been tested and refined through years of teaching worldwide and at her tango studio in the United States.
In their 29 years of dancing together, Giselle Anne and Gustavo Naveira have participated in countless festivals globally, sharing their artistry through teaching and performances, including their own show : “Tango Generations”.
Her dancing is characterized by a remarkable balance of strength and grace, consistently maintaining a high standard of excellence.
