The Gisborne Herald Quarter Marathon and Fun Run is on 22 September 2024, starting and finishing at Marina Park.The race starts in Marina Park, with both courses following a scenic trip around the town centre before crossing the finish line back in Marina Park.
Participants of all ages and abilities compete in the event, from elite athletes and running clubs to mums pushing buggies and 80 year olds!
The Quarter Marathon is a partnership event run by Sport Gisborne, The Hits and the Gisborne Herald. Proceeds from the event go to a local charity.
