GIS Program Success Factors (Build Your Plan for Success)
Why do some GIS programs succeed while others languish? What can you do to guarantee program success? This ½ day workshop will examine the critical success factors that will help you ensure the success of your GIS program. Topics will include organizing your GIS to align with organizational goals, identifying and implementing the appropriate governance strategy, identifying and promoting your successes, implementing and leveraging an education strategy, how to select the appropriate technology and engage your users, and challenges and barriers to success. Participants will leave with a comprehensive checklist of action items that will advance the success of their GIS program and career. During the workshop, participants will build components of an actionable. GIS success plan.
