About the DJs:
During the day dj marie is an infusion nurse, comforting patients while administering IV medications. On her off hours, she gets relief from the stresses of life with her technic 1200s. Inspired by multiple musical influences- Miami Bass casettes stolen from her older brothers, attending raves as a teen, Detroit and Baltimore dance floors, local late nights spent grooving to pgh djs, losing track of time in record shops, discovering her moms 45 collection from the late 60s, and the connections made from people who care about music. With many years of collecting records geared towards rhythmic and electronic sounds, her all vinyl set may cause side effects such as head bobbing, toe tapping, and shoe shuffling.
When DJ Kelly isn’t buying or selling records, she spends her time saving old houses around town. She organized some of Pittsburgh’s most memorable 90s raves - the Unity parties and Magick Halloween raves were among many. Her Milk Records shop supplied local DJs with d&b, house & techno through 2005 and she still buys and sells online today. Her best loves are electro and freestyle - expect to hear fun multi-genre sets with lots of surprises.
