About this Event
GIRLS THRIVE SAFETY PLAN:
Girls Thrive (GT) always prioritizes the safety of participants and coaches first. As such, we will do everything in our power to provide a safe and educational program, and follow any Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) directives given by local, state, and federal agencies. Please review our full safety plan HERE .
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
As a reminder, registration sells out quickly! Please read the following before going through the registration process, as there are many important facets to this registration.
Please note, you will need to select which ticket type is appropriate for your girl(s): GT Full Session, GT Partial Scholarship, GT Full Scholarship, GT Youth Leader, or Support the GT Girls. The Support the GT Girls ticket is available for those who would like to contribute more than the registration payment and help us continue to provide this impactful program to the community!
If you are registering multiple girls, please select multiple tickets; you will be able to enter individual information for each girl during checkout.
As in past years, Youth Leaders have been selected to meet our criteria for their experience in the program, leadership skills, and ability to motivate their peers. GT girls' parents will be contacted individually and can proceed through registration with the Youth Leader ticket type. As a reward for their amazing contributions to GT, these girls will receive half off the cost of their registration .
All registered girls will receive a custom GT Team trucker cap and water bottle.
In order to register, a required motivation statement written by your girl will need to be entered! This is a short statement describing why your girl wants to be in GT and what she hopes to gain from the program. The motivation statements help coaches create a positive learning environment for all, and are a helpful tool for the girls on challenging days.
Girls can register for one or all activity days, but are strongly encouraged to try all three in order to maximize benefits. If girls do not show up to practice the first two weeks, their spot will be released to girls on the waitlist.
- MONDAYS: Rock Climbing, 3-4:30pm at the Stonetree Climbing Center

WAITLIST: We have a waitlist enabled, as we know our program fills quickly. If the ticket type you are wanting is sold out, please click on the button to be added to the waitlist. Our Program & Operations Manager, Elaina Brassanini-Summers, will be in touch with you as soon as possible. If you'd like to contact her directly, her email is: [email protected]. If there is any movement in registration, we will be sure to contact you ASAP.
ELIGIBILITY: We welcome all self identifying girls currently in grades 6 through 12.
COST: $130 for 1, 2, or 3 participation days. Scholarships are available to those in need. Please select the scholarship needed and write a short statement why you need it. Payment must be made via credit card through this online payment system.
GEAR: Available at no cost to anyone who needs it! GT bikes and helmets are available to use on a first come, first served basis during the session. Please note that we only have 12 bikes and helmets available.
LOCATION: We will primarily meet outside at our office, located within First Christian Church located at 311 Power Street. When practice includes Cross Training, the locations will vary (such as a park or the Capital City Health Club), so be sure to sign up with Team Snap for the reminders. Please arrive on time, as we often leave for the mountain bike rides or runs shortly after we first meet for each practice.
SAFETY: We are committed to providing a safe and positive environment for every girl. Our volunteer coaches have had background checks, most are First Aid and CPR certified, and all are passionate about our mission. We have had our Safety Plan reviewed by a few top professionals and feel confident with our protocols. Thank you for being flexible with us this session!
