Girls on the Run is a non-profit that provides education and a love for exercise to girls all over the nation. Volunteer coaches hold practice and teach girls the curriculum which includes topics like confidence, positive self talk, being an up stander, giving back to the community, friendship, healthy choices and MORE! 💕 GOTR NETN serves the Northeast Tennessee and Western Virginia schools! Each season, we have a celebratory 5K event for the girls to dress up, have fun, show their progress and feel proud. The 5K is open to public runners. The fee for public runners will go towards scholarships for girls who need it to participate next season. We also need volunteers to help us with various positions like course marshall, happy hair, water stop, set-up and more. 🏃🏼♀️
The pre-event fun begins at 6 PM. The first wave of runners will begin at 7 PM. Send us a message if you have any questions! 👟
