Roots Hoot House Concerts welcomes Spring with a good ol' fashioned Saturday afternoon Rock & Roll show with house favorite GIRLS ON GRASS on Saturday, March 29. Doors are at 3:15 pm and show starts at 4 pm. This is a BYOB-only event. Reservations are first-come-first-served. ABOUT GIRLS ON GRASS:
Since releasing their sophomore LP Dirty Power, recorded with Eric Ambel (and featuring songs that figured on several DJ best-of lists) in 2019, Girls on Grass have downsized to a trio with original members Barbara Endes (vocals, guitar), Nancy Polstein (drums, vocals) and Dave Mandl (bass) and toured the northeast and southeast US. Dirty Power was followed by a 7" single, "Spill Your Guts" released October 30, 2020. The B-side is a punk-spaghetti-western explosion called "Who's Gonna Cry" which spawned a stop-animation video featuring the band as puppets heralding the fall of a certain maligned politician. The video premiered on The Big Takeover. Girls on Grass has an EP poised for release this spring and quite possibly at our Roots Hoot show with the band on March 29!.
