Lucretia Bolin or “Lou” is a blackbelt under the tutelage of master Ralph, the Pit Bull, Gracie. She was awarded her blackbelt in December of 2021. She is honored to train at the world-renowned Ralph Gracie Academy in San Francisco, California and competes at light and middleweight. She is the 2015 and 2016 IBJJF World Master Champion, 2018 IBJJF Pan American Champion, and 2016 IBJJF Pan American Bronze medalist. She has competed and made the podium in many local tournaments. She describes her game as a top-heavy pressure grind game.
....
Melissa is a black belt in Judo and BJJ. She co-owns Oakland's Most Powerful, a strength gym in Oakland, CA. Melissa began training Judo in 2006 and from 2012 to 2015, she competed at a high level. In 2014, was ranked 3rd in the US 52kg category, thanks to the support of her coaches Sung-Chul Han and Jiwan Han. Melissa began training BJJ in 2013 to help her ground game in Judo. She transitioned to BJJ competition after retiring from Judo and has grown enormously under her coach Eduardo Fraga.
....
Nia Doyle is the 2016 World Master Purple belt Gold, 2018 World Masters Brown belt Gold, and 2019 Pan Ams Black belt Bronze medalist. She started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2000 at Ralph Gracie SF with a background in dance, gymnastics, and swimming. During the early stages of her training she mostly trained with men, which was challenging at times. However she fell in love with competing early on. Even after multiple breaks to have her 3 kids, that added up to years off, she never gave up the sport. Almost 5 years after earning her blue belt she competed and won her 1st blue belt competition. Although more women were training she still struggled to find opponents on a local level and in 2014 she competed in her first major tournament. Although her journey has been filled with several breaks, she has learned the value of competing as much as possible as a white belt, the importance of solidarity among women in the sport, and that Jiu-jitsu will always be there for you. She is a black belt today because she never gave up.

We welcome beginners and don't require any experience. Our events are designed for 100% participation. However, we do allow parents or chaperone to accompany underage participants as spectators.
