Your daughter is invited to a weekly gathering of fun, friendship and mentoring for pre and early-teen girls (aged 11 - 13) to support them as they journey along the path from child to teenager. Non-binary tweens are of course welcome to join. We have had interest from tweens/teens who are slightly older and in their first year of high school and so this Term 3 program is especially for girls in grades 5/6/7.
Girls are invited to show up exactly as they are to be seen, to be heard and to allow them to SHINE as their perfect selves. The suggested age is a guide. Please contact me for a chat if your daughter is older or younger and you believe she is developmentally ready.
Circles will be held on Wednesday afternoons for 8 weeks starting on Wednesday 31st July, 2024 (with a break on Wednesday 14th Aug). We will open at 3.30pm for the girls to arrive, enjoy a yummy afternoon tea, relax and catch up. The Circle will begin by 4pm or earlier if everyone can make it before then and finish at 5.30pm.
We will meet at the Nambucca Valley Community and Arts Centre - Small Hall, 21 Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads
Cost: $300 for the 8 week program which includes:
🦋 8 x 2 hour circles lead by experienced youth mentor/facilitator Greta Boadle
🦋 Quality art & craft materials with jewellery and art to take home each week
🦋 A wholesome and yummy afternoon tea each week
🦋1 nurturing Mums’ Circle and 1 Dads Supporting Daughters evening during the 8 week program

Spaces are limited and we will take a maximum of 10 participants. Once the first circle has started bookings will be closed.
The circles are intended to be joyful, fun and nurturing, while exploring topics which are relevant and appropriate to girls of this age including:
🌸Friendships and those tricky social situations
🌸Sisterhood and building each other up
🌸Menstruation, signs of puberty and our changing bodies
🌸Caring for, honouring and staying true to ourselves
🌸Our Intuition - recognising and listening to our gut feelings
🌸Taking responsibility for ourselves
🌸Body Image - Loving our bodies, loving ourselves
🌸Anxiety - learning and experiencing tools to self-regulate
🌸Emotions, mood swings and caring for our emotional selves
🌸Celebrating ourselves, our Mothers and each other!
The afternoons will include arts and craft, fun, friendship, stories, games, sharing circles and a wholesome, filling and yummy afternoon tea. Because the circles will be held at the end of a long school day, there will be space for the girls to chill and just relax and listen if that is what they are needing.
The weekly Wednesday Circles are ‘Girls Business Only.’ Please note this is not a Mother-Daughter program.
Mums and Dads don’t miss out though. Parents are included in the girls’ journey and we offer both a Mums only circle and a Dads only evening (and/or their carers) as part of the program. At the parents’ gatherings we will discuss similar topics that we cover in the Girls Circles and parents will have the opportunity to share their experiences and gain support if they wish. Mums or significant caregivers will also be invited to join us for the final circle on Wednesday 25th September 2024 for our Celebration afternoon.

Nambucca Valley Circles for Girls is born out of my quiet passion for supporting young girls to become confident, informed, strong women who shine their own light and lift up and support each other. My studies over the years with the Journey of Young Women Mentoring Program, Shine From Within Youth Mentor Training, The Chalice Foundation's Menstrual Education program and Mette’s Institute of Bodywork and Personal Development have informed and inspired me to create this program to support young people as they transition through the life stage from child to teen. I also draw on my experience as a Bodyworker, specialising in working with pre and post-natal women, as well as my experience running lunchtime support circles for girls in a local primary school, to support and mentor girls in our community. Most importantly, I am the Mother to two beautiful children, a Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend and love being part of the Nambucca Valley community.
