Grades K-12: Who Run the World? Girls (Scouts)! Bring your troopmates, family, and friends and join us for an afternoon of empowerment, learning, and celebration!
In partnership with the Minnesota History Center, Girl Scouts will get to explore the Girlhood (It's complicated) exhibit, featuring over 100 rarely seen objects and new acquisitions from the National Museum of American History. The exhibit features five thematic sections centered on News & Politics, Education, Wellness, Work, and Fashion unpacking the diversity of girls' experiences at the intersections of gender, race, and class. While on display, the exhibit will also be highlighting women's basketball in Minnesota as well as the stories of Minnesota girls who make a difference in their communities!
Girl Scouts will get to engage in table activities designed by GSRV staff, interactive exhibit activities to spark curiosity and conversation, participate in a scavenger hunt from the History Center, meet and engage with community organizations, and have the opportunity to join other Girl Scouts on stage to test their knowledge on Girl Scouts and women's history!
Girl Scouts and guests are invited to enjoy the rest of the History Center by visiting the other four exhibits including Minnesota's Greatest Generation and Then Now Wow, stopping by the museum store, and much more.
