PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT.Join Girl Scouts of Pitt County on Sunday, March 16th from 12:30pm to 3pm OR 3pm to 5:30pm at Rum Runner Dive Shop to try SCUBA diving and learn about lionfish! Girls will enjoy a presentation about this invasive species, learn about the ways that humans can help control the population, study lionfish anatomy and physiology via dissection, and participate in a hands-on spearfishing demonstration. Immediately following the presentation, girls will have the opportunity to participate in 2 hours of Try SCUBA, an introductory course designed to allow girls to try something new, get firsthand SCUBA diving experience, breathe underwater, and have fun with Rum Runner Dive Shop's NAUI certified instructors! The Try SCUBA session will take place in an indoor pool.
