About this Event
Enjoy live music as well as FREE drinks, tarot readings, and caricature portraits — plus auctions, raffles, and more!
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the production costs for Girl Crush, a queer, coming-of-age feature film set to shoot in the Oak Park and Chicagoland areas during summer of 2025.
Girl Crush, written by Oak Park native Grace Melon and directed by Nadyja von Ebers, is produced in association with Take Care Productions, known for their award-winning documentary America to Me, and is fiscally sponsored by From The Heart Productions (which means any donations made at the fundraiser are tax deductible!).
Girl Crush humorously and compassionately explores themes of identity, longing, friendship, and unexpected human connection. We can’t wait to bring this story to life and we’re infinitely grateful for your support.
Event Highlights:
- Live music from local musicians
- 2 FREE drinks (including craft beer selections from Revolution Brewery and Beer Shop)
- FREE tarot readings and caricature portraits
- A mixed-media art sale featuring pieces from talented artists (paintings, photography, sculpture, and more)
