This KCBS Ancillary Cocktail Contest is open to anyone aged 18 and over. It’s your chance to showcase your creativity and mixology skills using Sin Gin.
The entry fee is $60 per team. Entries will be judged on appearance, taste, and execution/creativity.
Each team will receive a 200 ml bottle of Sin Gin in their chosen flavour at the team meeting. If your cocktail requires additional alcohol flavours, you will need to provide them yourself.
Rules:
Your cocktail must feature at least 30 ml of Sin Gin as the primary liquor.
You can include up to 5 ingredients plus garnish(s).
Use the branded blank index card provided by the sponsor to list your cocktail name and ingredients, which must be turned in at judging.
Bring your own mixing equipment, ingredients, glassware, pitcher, presentation tray, and ice.
Submit two drinks for presentation and one pitcher or pouring container (maximum 600 ml) for sampling. Ensure all glassware, pitchers, and trays are free from identifying marks.
Teams must attend the event/KCBS meeting at 11:30 am in the judging area. Official turn-in is at 1 pm, with a 5-minute grace period. Late submissions will not be accepted and will receive a zero in all criteria.
Prizes:
1st place: $150, trophy, and your winning cocktail added to the Sin Gin menu for one month
2nd place: $100 and trophy
3rd place: $50 and trophy
