Unleash your holiday creativity in this Gingerbread House Decorating Class at Satire Brewing! Each attendee will receive a pre-built gingerbread house that's as tasty as it is sturdy, along with all the tools needed to make it a sugary masterpiece—think colorful icing, sprinkles, and candies galore!
But that’s not all—because no gingerbread house is complete without friends! You’ll also learn a few simple and stunning techniques to decorate a set of festive sugar cookies to accompany your house.
Whether you're a fledgling icing enthusiast or a candy design expert, this class is perfect for decorators of all skill levels. Your ticket also includes your first drink from Satire Brewing's delicious selection of craft brews (up to $8)!

About this Class
In this gingerbread house class, I'll show you how to build a sturdy house, but yours will be ready to decorate when we get started. We'll talk about royal icing consistencies, and you'll be free to decorate your house however you wish! We'll also decorate a few sugar cookies to practice royal icing techniques for the holidays. If you're looking for the perfect creative way to get into the holiday spirit, this is the class for you!
We provide everything you will need, including boxes to take your awesome creations home in and all the tools necessary to knock this class out of the park! Everything is prepped before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class is on Sunday, December 21, and starts at 1 pm, so we can have enough time to decorate and answer questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!
This class will be mostly adults, but if you have kids 10 and over who'd love to decorate with you, you can purchase an additional ticket for them.
About Your Instructor
A little about me – Hi, I'm Kristen! I've been baking cakes and cupcakes for over 13 years now, but a few years ago I discovered sugar cookie decorating, and I haven't put down my scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookies to decorate are minis – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do – who wouldn’t love making people happy with baked goods?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!

The Fine Print
Cottage Disclaimer: Kristen's Cottage operates under the Colorado Cottage Foods Act. It is a home kitchen that is not subject to state licensure or inspection and that may also process common food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, fish and crustacean shellfish.
Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund including Eventbrite fees.
Classes with attendance below five may be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance the week before the event, so that you can bring a friend (hint hint).
Weather Policy: Sometimes Jack Frost doesn’t play well with cookie class schedules, and Mother Nature seems to be takin’ notes. In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event, but rest assured – we’ll figure something out!
Eventbrite Fees: Eventbrite does not refund its fees. If you cancel your ticket and request a refund prior to the cancelation window expiring, I’ll happily give you a refund less those fees – since I don’t get them back either. Eventbrite keeps them regardless of whether you show up or cancel.
