2024 GILMORE CYCLING CLASSICCriterium Racing in the City on Boxing Day… Lock it in!
WHEN: Thursday 26 December 2024
This is your unique opportunity to ride around the fully closed city streets of Launceston. Support the shops and then support the racing. What a day to be in the city!
This exciting event in the city is proudly supported by the City of Launceston Council.
Come and celebrate our local cycling champions Matthew & Graeme Gilmore for their incredible (and ongoing!) contribution & support to local Tasmanian and International cyclists.
The Race Day Event Hub will be at LIFT Gym precinct (Launceston Institute of Fitness & Training, 23 Racecourse Crescent, Launceston) with food vans and a bar. There will also be great spectator points right around the course to cheer on the local, interstate and international riders.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
1:00pm - Road Closed
2:00 – 3:00pm - Juniors U13 & U15 (20 mins Total - 3 or 4 Laps)
3:00 – 4:00pm - Senior Graded D, E & F (40 mins + 1 Lap)
4:00 – 5:00pm - Senior Graded B & C (45 mins + 1 Lap)
5:10pm – Women’s Elite (45 mins + 3 laps)
6:10pm – Men’s Elite (60 mins + 3 laps)
7:30pm - Presentations
8:00pm - Road Open

Juniors racing for medals. Senior Grades racing for prize money. The Elite Women and Men will be racing for $7,500 each in prize money!
