IN PERSON: On view one night only! We are partnering with Massillon Museum, Ohio History Connection, the McKinley Museum, and the National First Ladies Library & Museum at the First Ladies National Historic Site to bring more than five authentic Ida McKinley gowns to the Saxton-McKinley House for a special viewing. Dresses will include Ida’s ball gowns, as well as her First Lady of Ohio gubernatorial gown. On display at this special FREE open house for one night only, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the home and see these extraordinary gowns on display. Your experience will also include the opportunity to enjoy a FREE horse-drawn carriage ride around the block for the full Gilded Age experience.
Please note: Due to some of the dresses’ historic delicacy, several of the dresses will viewable in their protective archival boxes.
