Ages 14 to 17 requires a parent or guardian present during the class. Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Why not give the “Gift of Experience”? Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! You will be provided with a pre-glued bowl blank consisting of a variety of hardwoods. Students will create a tenon for their bowl blank and then using a wood lathe and carbide tools will create a custom shaped bowl. To complete the bowl a food safe finish will be applied. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases. Each student should carefully consider their health and reaction to products around them when signing up for this or any of the Rockler woodworking classes. Considering a 1-on-1 private Instruction?
