Free live theatre in the park returns in July! Culver City Public Theatre marks its 26th year of live outdoor shows for the entire family with the rollicking adventure-musical “Gideon and the Blundersnorp.”
Culver City Public Theatre's annual outdoor productions have entertained families for many years.
A treat for all ages it tells the story of Gideon a stableboy who yearns to be a Royal Cavalier. Alanna is a young viscountess who wants to be free. Thrown together by chance the two must contend with bandits a treacherous forest and a giant monster that just wants to eat everyone.A huge hit at the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival “Gideon and the Blundersnorp” combines witty characters pulse-pounding excitement and a rousing cinematic/medieval-folk score.
“Gideon” is the creation of Michael Gordon Shapiro who wrote the book music and lyrics. The show is directed by CCPT vet Averi Quinn Yorek. Cast includes Grace Balint Joey Comes Patricia DeBorba Sara Kaner Evan Kohnstam Kenny Yik Lam Michu Cure Nina Nahzee Nasr Jules Patrick Jivani Rodriguez Sebastian Son Jess Spruiell Richard Tran and Ramona Yates. Sophia April Grose returns to the company for her fourth show as costume designer.
