Browse the biggest pre-loved book sale!The Giant Charity BookFest is on Saturday, 3rd May, from 9am to 5pm & Sunday, 4th May, from 9am to 3pm 2025.
Since its inception in 1995, in early May each year, several thousand people gather to browse over 100,000 books, magazines, games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs.

836 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt City (Between the Council building and H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre)
Our famous Sausage sizzle and Homemade Ginger Beer will be available.
Parking is plentiful and free, but you must be aware of allocated two-hour time zones.
Street parking is available on Fergusson Drive, and a large carpark shared with the pool is at the rear of the building off Brown Street.

BookFest is the Heretaunga Bookfest Charitable Trust's major annual fundraising event. Since its beginning, this event has raised over $500,000 for charitable works, concentrating mainly on youth in the Upper Hutt area.
Many local businesses lend their support towards the organisation of BookFest, resulting in a range of local Community groups directly benefiting from this combining of Community resources.
