Around sunset we will be wandering through the ancient jitties lanes and streets of Geddington recalling traditions from our ancient and Christian pasts telling ghostly tales and reviving the lost tradition of Souling. If you have a ghost story of your own that can be told in five minutes we'd love to hear it and we have lots of local ghosts stories to chill the blood.
We'll provide wards appropriate prayers and incantations to keep away the evil spirits as the veil between the living and the dead grows thin and we'll recreate English Trick or Treating Souling! And reward the worthy with delicious Soul Cakes!
The Ghost Walk begins at the Eleanor Cross in Geddington and ends there 90 minutes later.
Price
£5 for adults £3 for children between 10 and 17
Practicalities
All children must be accompanied by an adult and if younger than 10 we may have to keep some of the more gruesome tales for another night.
Bring some props appropriate for Samhain/Hallowe'en - a carved gourd a disguise to hide from ghosts and ghouls or to trick them into believing you are one of them. Don't forget your torches or lanterns.
