Originally known as Priesthill, Gracemount Mansion began life around 1780 as a rectory on the edge of what is now south Edinburgh. Built for Lieutenant Colonel Gilbert Waugh and later home to the Green family, the house and its grounds were eventually gifted to the people of Edinburgh and became a much-loved community hub, serving for decades as a youth and community centre. Now closed and awaiting full restoration, the once-grand country house stands at the heart of the Gracemount estate, its faded interiors and overgrown grounds preserving layers of social history spanning more than two centuries.
Paranormal Activity
Over the years Gracemount Mansion has gained a strong reputation locally as a genuinely haunted house. Children once told stories of a ghost linked to a grotesque carved stone face in the garden wall, throwing pebbles at it in the belief it would keep the spirit at bay, while later generations spoke of strange noises, an unsettling atmosphere and the feeling of being watched in the darkened corridors.
Psychic Ghost Walk
The walk round will consist of a tour of the location with one of our trusted Psychic Mediums, Lee Dunn or Louise Walker. The aim is to allow our medium to channel information from the spirit realm and give information on any spiritual presences.
Vigils & Experiments
The event will include various vigils and experiments which everyone will have the opportunity to participate in. These will include filmed vigils, trigger object experiments, EVP experiments, use of a variety of ghost hunting gadgets and much more. There will also be free roam time after the structured sessions during which you can become the investigator and carry out your own mini-vigil, accompanied by one of our team members.
Review Of Findings & Experiences
All findings will be analysed throughout the evening and there will be a discussion at the end of the investigation.
