This popular event is the Museum's biggest fundraiser of the year! The Willow Dale walk is a local history performance featuring "ghosts" from Wayne County's history whose stories may have been forgotten over time. Some of Wayne County’s past residents (played by costumed actors) that have been laid to rest in the historic cemetery, will tell you their stories beside their gravesites. The ticketed, guided walk is in the evening and the beautiful Cemetery will be lit with luminaria and lanterns as you make your way from grave to grave. The tours are from 4:30-6 and again from 7-9pm. The ticket times are general admission and will leave the cemetery gates about every 25 minutes or so (depending upon the speed of the tour group ahead of you). Arrive at the gate near the time you want to take your tour. *There are no tours scheduled between 6pm-7pm so that our actors have time to rest. The last tour will start at 8:30. Parking is at the museum and a trolley will take you the 4.5 blocks to the cemetery and back. After every tour there is a "memorial" reception with refreshments at the museum, (that will be beautifully decorated for the Holidays), included with your ticket. Join us for one of Goldsboro's most dramatic and unique events of the Holiday Season. Advance tickets will be available for purchase online, or in the Museum lobby. All proceeds benefit the Wayne County Museum. See less
