About this Event
Cheesman Park, in Denver’s storied Capitol Hill neighborhood, was once the community’s pioneer cemetery. There are still bodies there - check out visible sunken graves in the park. Do portions of the grass turn green before others?
Learn more about the park and the neighborhood homes around it!
Meet at the entrance to the park at Ninth Avenue, half a block west of Race Street. Race is three blocks west of York Street.
Books from the author may be available. If this tour whets your appetite for historic Denver, feel free to bring cash in case you might be interested.
Feel free to read his latest work, Denver's Scenic Cemeteries, before attending.
Or just ask about where it is you'll be standing. And who may lie beneath.
