Back for the third year with new stories and old favorites, the Newark Historical Society presents ghost stories drawn from Newark history and delivered on the site where they actually took place. Find out why you shouldn't take a bath on the top floor of the Deer Park Hotel, what happened when someone forgot to "look both ways" at the railroad crossing, and why you should tread cautiously on the west end of Delaware Avenue. These tours are ADA accessible and cover approx. 0.5 miles. This event is rain or shine and open to the public. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Tours will be guided by Newark Historical Society volunteers. Pre-registration and fee payment is required. $5 for Newark residents and $8 for non-residents. All proceeds will go to the Newark Historical Society. Click here for registration: https://secure.rec1.com/DE/newark-de/catalog
