You’ll learn how to:
- Build and use a sterile virtual machine for investigations.
- Practice identity-safe research to reduce your digital footprint.
- Use search engines, social platforms, mapping tools, and public records to build profiles on people, places, and events.
- Turn scattered online data into a clear, easy-to-use threat and risk picture for your family, team, or organization.
- We focus on defensive, protective OSINT, not hacking, exploitation, or anything shady. You’ll get a hard look at legal and ethical lines, how to avoid crossing them, and how to protect yourself mentally and legally when you run into disturbing material.

Schedule & Tuition:
- Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-day intensive)
- Tuition: $120 per student
What You Need to Bring:
- A laptop capable of running a virtual machine (VirtualBox or similar):
- 64-bit CPU with virtualization support (Intel VT-x / AMD-V).
- Minimum 8 GB RAM recommended.
- At least 40 GB free disk space.
- Power adapter and any dongles you need.
- Notepad and pen/pencil.
- Optional: external mouse, power strip, headphones.
- Some loaner laptops and pre-configured OSINT VMs will be available, but bringing your own laptop gives you the most value long-term. All students receive a thumb drive with tools, templates, and resources used in class.
Important Notes:
- This course uses publicly available information and focuses on protection, safety, and risk reduction.
- No hacking, exploitation, or penetration testing topics are taught.
- You are responsible for knowing and obeying the laws in your jurisdiction.
