So you wanna be a ghost hunter? Or maybe you're just curious about the paranormal world? This course will introduce you to the world of paranormal and show you how this subject has intrigued mankind for centuries. Learn about equipment, proper technique, and expert methods used during an investigation. You will also hear and see the evidence of spirits and how they try to communicate with us every day. You will then put your skills to work while participating in an investigation at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, one of the most HAUNTED buildings in the entire state! The class will begin with a lecture, and then you'll move on to the investigation. During class, you will learn about the different aspects of ghost hunting, equipment, techniques and how to review your evidence. An EVP (electronic voice phenomena) session will be part of the class, so that you will practice how to communicate with spirits using digital voice recorders and laptops.
In addition to a curious and inquisitive mind, please bring the following items to class: a flashlight, a camera, a digital voice recorder, and any personal ghost-hunting equipment. You may use your cell phone, but it can limit the quality of your evidence. Please wear comfortable shoes.
