More on Rewilding Horses: The issue of rewilding horses has traditionally been viewed as a simple animal rights issue and oftentimes dismissed without the understanding that it is a national priority that ultimately impacts our planet. Now horses are ackowledged as a keystone species that protect and rehabilitate surrounding ecosystems. Animals remaining in the wild more broadly is not just crucial for the health of their species, but for our collective health as well.

A Loft of One's Own is a Third Space for Artists to Congregrate and Cross Fertilize with people from different walks of life. This upper Emeryville Loft is an art gallery and event space in Emeryville, CA, with a name that is a play on Virginia Woolf's famous essay, A Room of One's Own.

For this show, we are bringing together fine art on horses, in various media, to remind the viewer of the importance and legacy of the horse, with a portion of the proceeds going to horse rescue. Please join us for an in depth talk on why we rely on horses for healthy ecosystems, followed by a lively reception with the artists.
