City Winery St. Louis presents Ghost Ghoston live on Sunday, December 15th at 7:00pm!Ghost Ghoston, the soulful singer-songwriter, originally hailing from the Mississippi Delta and now based in STL, is on a mission to bring back the timeless sound and feel of yesteryear. Influenced by Soul, Blues, Country, and his quartet roots, Ghost Ghoston's music is a unique fusion that captivates audiences with its soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics. His musical journey began at the tender age of five, singing alongside his grandmother in the Holiness Church. Growing up as the second of three children, he continued to develop his passion for music, and it wasn't long before he found himself drawn to the microphone, expressing his emotions through his powerful voice.
During his time in undergrad, Ghost Ghoston joined the Gospel ensemble FAITH Ministries. This pivotal experience provided him with incredible opportunities, including sharing the stage with Grammy Award-winning artist Michael McDonald. Now embracing a solo career, This journey of musical self-discovery has led him to write his own music, creating a distinctive and heartfelt style that resonates with his listeners. His self-written/produced single "Don't Ghost Me (Baby)" was released end of 2023 followed by “Something Out of Nothing” and “Testify”. He follows those up with the feel good bop “Fish Without A Hook” opening up 2024 with a smooth old school feel.
