Shahak Shapira is an Israeli comedian in Germany, which is already a problem. His German TV show was canceled so fast, most never noticed it existed. He recorded a stand-up special for Comedy Central… Germany, so, not great. His TED Talk on going viral has 30,000 views—ironically sad.
He wrote two bestsellers (80K+ copies sold), and his art projects like YOLOCAUST and #HeyTwitter and the 90'S BOILER ROOM reached over 250M people worldwide, which would be very impressive if this was an art gallery, but this is stand up, so nobody cares. And as if that’s not tragic enough - the guy is a DJ too.
Somehow, he’s fooled audiences worldwide into thinking he’s funny and even tricked top comics into letting him open for them. By faking enough credits, he’s tainted legendary comedy stages with his "mediocre-at-best" material.
