Join us for a spooktacular time as an Trunk or Treat event staff volunteer with Growing Healthy Kids! Service hours are available for MDUSD Students only when accompanied at the event by a parent or legal guardian. Unattended minors will be turned away.
About the Opportunity: Growing Healthy Kids is seeking high school student volunteers to support our booth at Walnut Creek Trunk or Treat at Civic Park from 4 pm to 7 pm. Volunteers do not need to stay the whole time, but should commit to at least a 1 hour block of time during the event. Growing Healthy Kids garden education staff will lead a fall garden science activity that high school students will support. They will have the opportunity to learn about and practice hands-on garden education with child event attendees!
About Trunk or Treat: Get ready for a spine-tinglingly good time at Civic Park in Walnut Creek! Walnut Creek Arts + Rec proudly presents our 5th annual Trunk or Treat event on October 25, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm. Bring the whole family and stroll through our "trick-or-treat" lane, where you'll encounter captivating booths brimming with activities, games, and candy galore. From bounce houses to face-painting, balloon twisters to food trucks, there's something to delight every ghost and ghoul. Best of all, this magical event is free for the community to enjoy! Service Hours: If you are seeking service hours from this event, you must attend with a parent or legal guardian or you will be turned away. In addition, students must have a parent or legal guardian complete the event registration and waiver on their behalf. Be sure to bring any paperwork you need signed with you.
